Penny Stocks Locked in the Upper Circuit on October 4, 2022

Gains in the power, utilities, and services sectors boosted the markets, with indices trading nearly 2% higher. 

Major Wall Street indices surged more than 2% overnight, signalling an optimistic start to the year's final quarter. The S&P 500 soared 2.59%, the Nasdaq Composite Index climbed 2.27%, and Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 2.66%.

Following is the list of penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on October 4. Keep a close eye on these counters for the upcoming sessions.

Tracking the strength on the Wall Street, the majority of Asian indices were trading more than 2% higher today with gains across several sectors. With a gain of 247 points, the SGX Nifty indicated an upbeat start for India's broader index. Indian domestic indices got off to a strong start and were both trading nearly 2% higher. 

BSE Power was the top-gaining sector, with Adani Transmission leading the way with gains of more than 5%. BSE Utilities, BSE Services, and BSE Metals all experienced significant rises. 

At 11:05 am, the BSE Sensex climbed 1.84%, reaching a level of 57,835. The Nifty 50 index surged 1.89% to the 17,206 level. On the Sensex, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance and Tata Consultancy Services were the top gainers, whereas Dr Reddy’s Laboratories and Power Grid Corporation of India were the market draggers. 

The BSE Midcap index jumped 1.59% and was trading at a level of 24,935 while the Smallcap index gained 1.23% and was trading at a level of 28,649.
