Domestic indices trade lower, with auto and FMCG stocks bearing the brunt of the damage. 

Wall Street indices suffered a bloodbath on Friday after a stronger-than-anticipated jobs report raised fears about the Federal Reserve's aggressive actions, such as further interest rate hikes. The S&P 500 plunged 2.80%, the Nasdaq Composite Index tumbled 3.80%, and Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 2.11%.

 Following the same pattern, all Asian markets opened lower with significant cuts across several sectors. With a loss of 268 points, the SGX Nifty indicated a negative opening for India's broader index. With significant losses in FMCG, capital goods, and auto stocks, Indian benchmark indices were trading lower.

At 11:10 am, the BSE Sensex tumbled 1.07%, reaching a level of 57,568. The Nifty 50 index fell 1.09% to the 17,125 level. On the Sensex, Axis Bank, Power Grid Corporation of India and Tata Consultancy Services were the only gainers, whereas HDFC, Asian Paints and HDFC Bank were the market draggers.

The BSE Midcap index declined 1.01% and was trading at a level of 25,128 while the Smallcap index lost 0.58% and was trading at a level of 29,013.
