Penny Stocks Locked in the Upper Circuit on May 24, 2022

Overnight, the Wall Street indices rallied amid positive global cues and were lifted by tech stocks like Apple Inc and Microsoft Corporation.

Following is the list of penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on Tuesday. Keep a close eye on these counters for the upcoming sessions.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 surged 1.98% and 1.86%, respectively. Similarly, Nasdaq was also trading in the green territory with a gain of 180.66 points or 1.59%. 

All the benchmark Asian indicators were trading in red. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng and China’s Shanghai SE Composite Index fell more than 1%. With the same impact, Sensex and Nifty 50 were also trading downwards. 

At 10:30 am, the Nifty 50 was trading at the 16,137.25 level, down by 0.48%. The top gainers in the Nifty 50 pack were Power Grid Corporation of India, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories. On the other hand, top losers were Divi’s Laboratories, Grasim Industries and Hindustan Unilever Ltd. Nifty Bank was at the level of 34,264.30, edged up by 0.05%. The top performers were State Bank of India, IndusInd Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank. 

Sensex was trading at a level of 54,133.76, down by 0.29%. BSE Midcap index was trading at a level of 22,325.92, slipped by 0.55%. BSE Smallcap index fell by 0.61% and was trading at a level of 26,023.56. The top performers of Sensex were Power Grid Corporation of India, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories. And, stocks pulling down the index were Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Bajaj Finserv and Infosys Ltd.  

On the sectoral front, all of the indices were trading in red, with BSE IT and BSE Teck being the most affected sectors.
