Penny Stocks Locked in the Upper Circuit on May 05, 2022

At 11:00 am on Thursday, the benchmark equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading upwards amid positive global cues.

In the case of domestic indices, the Sensex was trading at 56,421.20, up by 1.35 per cent, and the Nifty 50 was trading at 16,895.70, up by 1.31 per cent. The top gainers in the Nifty 50 pack were Hero Motocorp, Tech Mahindra and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation.

BSE Midcap index was trading at a level of 23,879.34, up by 0.90%. The top 3 gainers of the index were ABB India Ltd, General Insurance Corporation of India and Container Corporation of India. The top three stocks dragging the index were Godrej Properties, Tata Consumer Products and Info Edge India Ltd.   

BSE Smallcap index was trading at 28,015.03, up by 0.91%. The top three gainers were Future Consumer Ltd, Time Technoplast Ltd and Meghmani Finechem Ltd. Each of these stocks gained more than 8%. The top three stocks pulling the index down were Vardhman Textiles, Laxmi Organic Industries and MAS Financial Services Ltd.

Most of the sectoral indices were trading in green, whereas BSE Metals, BSE Teck, BSE Oil and Gas and BSE IT were top performing sectors.
