Penny Stocks Locked in the Upper Circuit on Jun 10, 2022

Sensex plummets 600 points, Nifty falls below 16,300 dragged by IT stocks. US stocks sold off sharply on Thursday ahead of the release of consumer price index (CPI) data on Friday. Selling picked up towards the end of the session.

Following is the list of penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on June 10. Keep a close eye on these counters for the upcoming sessions.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 1.94%, S&P 500 lost 2.38% and Nasdaq Composite too fell 2.75%. Shares of Amazon and Apple witnessed high selling pressure and were slumped by 4.15% and 3.60%, respectively.

Tracking weak cues from the Wall Street, Indian domestic indices Sensex and Nifty 50 were opened with deep cuts. At 10:45 am, the Nifty 50 was trading at the 16,297.25 level, slipping by 1.10%. The top gainers in the Nifty 50 pack were Asian Paints, Eicher Motors and Ultratech Cement Company. On the other hand, the top losers were Wipro, Bajaj Finance and Hindalco Industries Ltd.

Sensex was trading at a level of 54,689.71, fell by 1.14%. The top gainers of Sensex were Asian Paints, Power Grid Corporation of India and Titan Ltd. Stocks pulling down the index were Wipro, Bajaj Finance and Kotak Mahindra Bank.

All sectoral indices were trading downwards except BSE Telecom. Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd was the top gainer with gains of over 8%. The stock witnessed a spurt in volume by more than 1.55 times and also touched the upper circuit yesterday.
