Penny Stocks Locked in the Upper Circuit on Jun 09, 2022

Indices trade in a range with gains witnessed in the Pharma stocks. Wall Street ended lower and majority of US stocks fell on Wednesday as Treasury yields raised above the psychologically important 3% level.

Following is the list of penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on June 09. Keep a close eye on these counters for the upcoming sessions.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.81%, S&P 500 lost 1.08% and Nasdaq Composite too fell 0.73%. Intel Corporation was one of the market draggers with a loss of over 5% amid uncertainties about the demand for personal computers and possibly weaker than expected earnings.

Along similar lines, Indian domestic indices Sensex and Nifty 50 traded sideways tracking weak global cues. At 10:40 am, the Nifty 50 was trading at the 16,371.15 level, edged up by 0.09%. The top gainers in the Nifty 50 pack were Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation and Reliance Industries Ltd. On the other hand, the top losers were Tata Steel, Shree Cements and Grasim Industries Ltd. Sensex was trading at a level of 54,942.90, up by 0.09%. The top gainers of Sensex were Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Reliance Industries and Maruti Suzuki Ltd. And, stocks pulling down the index were Tata Steel, Asian Paints and Ultratech Cement Ltd.

On the sectoral front, gains were witnessed in the Pharma stocks. Biocon Ltd, Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd and Bliss GVS Pharma Ltd were the top gainers in the BSE Healthcare pack with gains of over 3%.
