Penny Stocks Locked in the Upper Circuit on July 07, 2022

Sensex climbs nearly 400 points, Nifty above 16,100 level led by consumer durables and realty stocks. 

Even though the release of the Fed minutes hinted at the possibility of an "even more restrictive" monetary policy, the major US indices edged higher overnight. The Nasdaq rose 0.35% and the S&P 500 advanced by 0.36%. The Indian markets traded on Thursday with modest gains, following positive global cues.

At 12:25 pm, the Nifty 50 was trading at the 16,107.90 level, rising by 0.74%. On the Nifty 50 index, the top gainers were Titan, UPL Ltd and Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd whereas; Bajaj Finserv, Reliance Industries Ltd and Bajaj Finance were the top losers of the session. 

Sensex was trading at a level of 54,133.70, advanced by 0.71%. The top gainers were Titan, Mahindra and Mahindra and IndusInd Bank whereas; Bajaj Finserv, Reliance Industries Ltd and Bajaj Finance were the top draggers of the session.

The rupee depreciated to an all-time low of 79.38 against the US dollar. In order to minimize volatility and stem the rupee's depreciation, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced a number of measures to diversify sources of foreign exchange funding.
