Penny Stocks Locked in the Upper Circuit on April 08, 2022

At 10.45 am on Friday, headline indices Sensex and Nifty were trading lower, as the investors are waiting for the RBI monetary policy announcement.

The FIIs have sold off investments of about Rs 5009.62 crore, whereas DIIs have invested a net of Rs 1774 .7 crore in the markets yesterday.

The Sensex was at 58,966.68 down by 82.17 points or 0.14%, and the Nifty was at 17,636.85 down by 4.65 points or 0.03%.

The top gainers in the Sensex pack are Grasim India, SBI Life insurance Company., Coal India, UPL, and JSW Steel. Whereas, the top losers were Tech Mahindra, NTPC, HDFC Bank, HDFC, and Sun Pharmaceuticals.

The Nifty Midcap 100 index is trading at 31,129. 30 and is up by 0.68%. The top three gainers of the index were Cholamandalam Investment and Fin Co, Polycab, and Union Bank. Each of these scrips was up by more than 6%. Similarly, the top 3 stocks dragging the index include Escorts, Oberoi Realty, and Trent.

The Nifty Smallcap 100 index is trading at 10,905.40 up by 0.47%. The top 3 gainers of the index are Mishra Dhatu Ni, Alok Industries, and Sterling Wilson. Each of these scrips was up by more than 6%. The top stocks pulling the index down were JB Chemicals, Tanla Platforms, and APL Apollo Tubes.

On the sectoral front, Nifty Pharma, and financial Services dragged whereas Nifty Metal, Media, Energy, and Commodities were bullish on the bourse today.
