Penny Stocks Locked in the Upper Circuit on April 07, 2022

At 10.15 am on Thursday, headline indices Sensex and Nifty were trading lower, as the global markets also fell in the range of 1 % to 2%. The domestic investors are now waiting for the RBI bi-monthly policy to be announced on April 8, 2022.

The Sensex was at 59,276.73, down by 333.68 points or 0.56%, and the Nifty was at 17,724.85, down by 82.80 points or 0.46%.

The top gainers in the Sensex pack are NTPC, Dr.Reddy’s Laboratories., Axis Bank, Sun Pharmaceuticals, and Power Grid Corporation of India. Whereas, the top losers were HDFC Bank, HDFC, Titan Company, Larsen & Toubro, and Bajaj Finserv.

The Nifty Midcap 100 index is trading at 31,388.05 and is up by 0.51%. The top three gainers of the index were Bharat Electricals, Hindustan Aeronautics, and CESC. Each of these scrips was up by more than 5%. Similarly, the top 3 stocks dragging the index include Escorts, JSW Energy, and Page industries.

The Nifty Smallcap 100 index is trading at 10,961.80 down by 0.06%. The top 3 gainers of the index are Bharat Dynamics, Mazagaon Dock Shipbuilders, and Karur Vysya Bank. Each of these scrips was up by more than 6%. The top stocks pulling the index down were IDFC, Sterling Wilson, and APL Apollo Tubes.

On the sectoral front, Nifty Realty, Nifty Media, Nifty energy Nifty Pharma, were up by almost 1%, whereas, Nifty Financial Services, IT, and Auto were dragging the index marginally.
