Penny Stocks Gainers Today - October 18, 2022

The leading indices completed the trading day on Tuesday with significant gains, extending gains for the third session. 

The sentiment was buoyed by encouraging global cues. The Nifty reached a closing high of 17,450. On the NSE, all of the sectoral indices were up, with PSU banks, media and real estate companies seeing the most gains. The barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, increased by 549.62 points or 0.94% to 58,960.60 as per preliminary closing data. To reach 17,486.95, the Nifty 50 index increased by 175.15 points or 1.01%. The Sensex has grown by 3.01% over three straight sessions, while the Nifty has risen by 2.78%.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index increased 0.71%, while the S&P BSE Mid-Cap index increased 1.06% in the overall market. Market breadth was substantial. 2,077 shares increased and 1,356 shares decreased on the BSE. 123 shares were unchanged overall. The NSE's India VIX, a measure of the market's expectation of short-term volatility, fell 5.23% to 17.45.   

Indowind Energy's consolidated net profit increased by 656.66% to Rs 3.86 crore on an increase in net sales of 64.60% to Rs 14.60 crore in Q2 FY23 compared to Q2 FY22, pushing the company's upper circuit limit to 5%. Can Fin Homes' stock have increased 4.06% as the business reported a 14.6% increase in net profit to Rs 141.71 crore on an increase in total revenue of Rs 657.55 crore or 40.5%, from Q2 FY22 to Q2 FY23. After the Tata Group company recorded a 25.13% increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 532.29 crore on a 6.15% increase in net sales to Rs 4,430.74 crore in Q2 FY23 over Q2 FY22, Tata Communications saw a 3.80% increase in value.  

The US stock market is expected to open up today, according to the US Dow Jones futures, which were up 229 points. Tuesday saw a rise in shares across Europe and Asia following the overnight gain on Wall Street. The UK's move to roll back more of its unfunded tax cuts also improved the mood of the whole market.
