Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on 14-october-2022

The domestic benchmark indices traded optimistically in Friday’s trading session.  

The benchmark indices gained decently as the bulls took over the charge amid strong global cues and easing crude oil prices. At noon, the Sensex was up 1,062.19 points or 1.86% at 58297.52, and the Nifty was up 294.20 points or 1.73% at 17308.50. About 2252 shares have advanced, 849 shares declined, and 114 shares are unchanged. The stocks of Reliance, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys and Bajaj Finance were the top positive contributors to Sensex whereas Mahindra & Mahindra was the only Sensex loser.

On the sectoral front, all sectors traded higher with Banking and IT indices catching the limelight zooming more than 2%. BSE Bankex index was lifted by HDFC Bank, Federal Bank and Kotak Bank. BSE IT Index had Brightcom Group, Allied Digital Services and Infosys as the top gainers. The strength was also seen across broader markets as Nifty MidCap 100 and Nifty SmallCap 100 gained over 1% each.

Among individual stocks, the shares of Infosys rose 5% post reporting a net profit of Rs 6,021 crore, up 11% on a YoY basis in Q2FY23. On the other hand, shares of Apollo Micro Systems surged 10% post approval by the board for the issue of warrants to promoters and non-promoter groups on a preferential basis.
