Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on 06-October-2022

On Monday, the investors bore optimistic sentiments amid mixed global cues and strong foreign flows which led the key indices Nifty50 to gain over 100 points and trade above 17,400 levels, while BSE Sensex surged over 450 points to trade at 58,538 levels. 

Towards the noon session, the stocks of JSW Steel, Coal India, Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel and HCL Technologies were the top gainers whereas Bajaj Finance, Bharti Airtel, HUL, Cipla and IndusInd Bank were the top losers.

On the sectoral front, all sectors traded higher with the metal and realty sector on the forefront, zooming 3% and 2%, respectively. APL Apollo Tubes, Vedanta and JSW Steel were the top metal stocks shining through the BSE Metal Index whereas Phoenix, DLF and Sobha were the top realty stocks. The shares of DLF advanced by over 3% after the company sold all luxury homes in the new Gurugram project within 8 days of launch. 

Meanwhile, at noon, the broader markets also traded on a firm note as Nifty MidCap 100 and Nifty SmallCap 100 zoomed more than 1% each. 

Amid the volatility, the shares of SpiceJet soared more than 6% after the Central Government allowed the airline to avail loans up to Rs 1,500 crore under the ECLGS scheme.
