List of Top 10 Penny Stocks: These Shares Gained Up To 5% on Monday, March 28

Today NIFTY PSU BANK was the best performing index and NIFTY MICROCAP 250 was the worst-performing index. 

Frontline equity indices made a smart recovery in today’s trade. Nifty 50 closed in the green with a gain of 69.00 points. Though it had opened at 17181.85 against the previous close of 17153.00, which means a gap up of 28.85 points, soon slipped into red and traded near the 17,000 level. Overall, we saw that in today's trade more stocks closed in red.

In today’s trade, the best performing index was NIFTY PSU BANK it was up by 1.22%. This is followed by NIFTY METAL, which was up by 0.91%. The worst performing index in today's trade was NIFTY MICROCAP 250. It was down by 1.36%. Out of the total 250 companies forming part of the index, 201 companies closed in red, and 48 closed in green.

Companies that supported the Nifty 50 in today’s trade were 'Reliance Industries', 'ICICI Bank', 'Bharti Airtel', 'ITC' and 'Axis Bank' together they contributed around 66.10 points gain in the index. While the companies that dragged the index were 'HDFC Life', 'SBI Life Insurance', 'HCL Tech', 'Nestle' and 'HDFC'. These companies contributed 33.11 points towards the fall of Nifty 50.

Overall market today was in favour of decline. At close advance to decline ratio stood at 171:317.
