List of Top 10 Penny Stocks: These Shares Gained Up To 5% on Friday, February 18

The Indian market closed marginally lower on Friday. BSE Capital Goods index is the top gainer whereas, BSE Realty is the top loser.

Today is the third day in a row where the domestic equity market closed negatively. Besides, the majority of the sectoral indices ended the day on the lower side.

In today’s trade, Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex indices closed down by 28.30 points i.e., 0.16 and 59.04 points i.e., 0.10%, respectively. Despite strong support from stocks like HDFC Bank Ltd, HDFC Ltd and Larsen & Toubro Ltd the indices were dragged down at the end with Reliance Industries Ltd, Infosys Ltd and Bajaj Finance Ltd pulling the index down. This was after the Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex opened down by 0.39% and 0.69%, respectively from the previous close.

Among BSE equity indices, S&P BSE Capital Goods, S&P BSE BANKEX, S&P BSE Finance and S&P BSE Private Banks Index are top gainers. S&P BSE Capital Goods was up by 0.39% with a great upward movement from ELGI Equipments Ltd, Schaeffler India Ltd, Thermax Ltd, SKF India Ltd and Carborundum Universal Ltd despite the drag from Honeywell Automation India Ltd and HEG Ltd.   

In today’s trade, S&P BSE Realty, S&P BSE Oil & Gas, S&P BSE Sensex Next 50 and S&P BSE SmallCap Select Index are top losers. S&P BSE Realty was the major loser today (-1.23%) with Sobha Ltd, Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd, Godrej Properties Ltd, DLF Ltd, Brigade Enterprises Ltd and Sunteck Realty Ltd bleeding the most, while none of its components were in the green.
