At 1 pm on Wednesday, headline indices Sensex and Nifty were trading in the green, amidst positive global cues, easing crude oil prices and depreciating domestic currency.

The Sensex was at 56,641.55 up by 864/70 points or 1.55%, and the Nifty was at 16,916.55, up by 252.55 points or 1.52%.   

The top gainers in the Sensex pack are Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, UltraTech Cement, Bajaj Finserv, and Bajaj Finance. Whereas, the top losers are Cipla and Sun Pharmaceuticals.

The Nifty Midcap 100 index is trading at 28,513.70 and is up by 1.76%. The top three gainers of the index were Nippon India Asset Management Company, LIC Housing Finance Company, and Voltas India. Each of these scrips was up by more than 5%. Similarly, the top 3 stocks dragging the index down were Mphasis, Emami, and CESC.

The Nifty Smallcap 100 index is trading at 10,148.95 up by 1.12%. The top 3 gainers of the index are Bharat Dynamics, Century Textile and Industries, and Westlife Development. Each of these scrips was up by more than 4%. The top stocks pulling the index down are Linde India, KEC International, and Carborundum Universal.

Trading in the greener territory today, the sectoral indices on the Nifty were led by Auto, financial Services, Metal, Realty, and Private Bank stocks.
