The top five gainers of Nifty 50 were NTPC, ONGC, Mahindra & Mahindra, IndusInd Bank, and Adani Ports. Whereas, the top stocks pulling down the index are Maruti Suzuki, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, and Hindustan Unilever (HUL).

BSE Midcap index is trading at a level of 24,537.90 up by 2.49%. The top three gainers of the index include LIC Housing Finance Company, Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services, and Apollo Hospital. Each of these scrips was up by more than 5%. The top three stocks dragging the index include TVS Motor Company, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, and RBL Bank.

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 29,252.27, up by 2.16%. The top three gainers are Orient Bell, JSW holdings, and Diamines and Chemicals. Each of these stocks gained more than 12%. Three stocks pulling the index down include HG Infrastructure Engineering, Kriti Industries, and Mahindra Logistics.

All the sectoral indices on the BSE were seen regaining the lost levels, with BSE Realty being up by 3.39%, followed by BSE IT and BSE Teck which were up by 2.50%.
