List of Top 10 Penny Stocks: These Shares Gained Up To 10% on Thursday, January 20

The Indian market closed deep down with a red mark. BSE Power is the top gainer whereas, BSE Information Technology was the top loser.

Today is the third day in a row where the Indian equity market closed on a negative note. Besides, some of the sectoral indices closed on a negative note while some closed positively.

In today’s trade Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex indices closed down by 181.40 points i.e., 1.01% and 634.20 points i.e., 1.06%, respectively. Stocks that supported BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 to pull the index up were Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Asian Paints Ltd and Bharti Airtel Ltd. Whereas, stocks that dragged BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 down were Reliance Industries Ltd, Infosys Ltd, Bajaj Finserv Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd and HDFC Ltd. Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex opened down by 0.09% and 0.08%, respectively from the previous close.

In Thursday's trading session S&P BSE Power, S&P BSE Utilities, S&P BSE CPSE and S&P BSE Metal were top gainers. BSE Power index consisting of stocks such as Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, ABB India Ltd, JSW Energy Ltd, Torrent Power Ltd and Adani Green Energy Ltd led the pack.

On the flip side, S&P BSE Information Technology, S&P BSE TECk, S&P BSE Energy and S&P BSE Healthcare were top losers. BSE Information Technology index consisting of stocks such as Mastek Ltd, Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd, 63 Moons Technologies Ltd, Datamatics Global Services Ltd, Zensar Technologies Ltd and Eclerx Services Ltd were the top drags.
