At noon on Thursday, headline indices Sensex and Nifty 50 were seen reclaiming the lost levels marginally. The Sensex was trading at 58,962.57, up by 496.60 points or 0.85%, and Nifty was trading at 17,606.55, up by 142.75 points or 0.82%.

The top 5 gainers in the Sensex pack are HDFC Ltd, Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Bank, Tata Steel, and Power Grid Corporation. On the flip side, the top losers were Maruti Suzuki, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Asian Paints, Bharti Airtel, and Hindustan Unilever (HUL).

The Nifty Midcap 100 index is trading at 30,383.20 and is up by 0.42%. The top three gainers of the index were JSW Energy, Jindal Steel, and LIC Housing Finance Company. Each of these scrips was up by more than 4%. Similarly, the top 3 stocks dragging the index were Varun Beverages, Gujarat Gas, and Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals.

The Nifty Smallcap 100 index is trading at 10,914.60, up by 0.12%. The top 3 gainers of the index were Hindustan Copper, Sterlite Technologies, and TV18 Broadcast. Each of these scrips was up by more than 4%. The top 3 stocks dragging the index are Quess Corp, BASF India, FDC Ltd.

All the sectoral indices on the Nifty were trading in the green except for Nifty Oil & Gas and Nifty Consumer Durables were down more than 1%. Whereas Nifty Media was up by almost 2%.
